Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about applying for Singapore PR with our expert help

Why should I engage your consultancy firm when I can apply on my own?

Yes—you can apply for Singapore PR on your own. But the real question is: how confident are you in navigating a high-stakes process that goes beyond just filling out forms?

Securing PR is a strategic journey, not just an administrative task. Here’s how working with us can make all the difference:

1.

Strategic Guidance from the Start

Applying for PR isn’t just about submitting documents—it’s about building a compelling case that aligns with Singapore’s evolving immigration goals. We analyze your profile, uncover key strengths and potential red flags, and guide you in presenting a strong, well-positioned application.

2.

Improved Success Rates

Many self-submitted applications are rejected due to missing documents, vague submissions, or an underdeveloped narrative. We know what the ICA looks for—and what they don’t. Our experienced team helps you avoid common pitfalls and reduce your chances of rejection.

3.

Tailored Application Strategy

No two applicants are the same. Your profession, industry, family ties, financial stability, and social contributions all factor in. We develop a personalized approach that highlights what makes your profile stand out—increasing your appeal to decision-makers.

4.

Time-Saving & Stress-Free

From gathering the right documents to completing e-forms correctly, the process is detailed and time-sensitive. One mistake can cause unnecessary delays. We manage the end-to-end process—so you can focus on your life while we focus on your success.

5.

Support for Complex or Previously Rejected Applications

Been rejected before? Working in a niche industry? Applying with dependents? We specialize in complex cases and offer expert advice on how to strengthen your profile and re-approach with confidence.

6.

Long-Term Support Beyond PR

Our relationship doesn’t end at approval. We offer ongoing advice on integration, renewal requirements, and even the Singapore Citizenship journey—ensuring your long-term success and stability.

The Bottom Line

You can apply alone—but with us, your application is not just submitted, it’s strategically elevated.

The investment in professional guidance is minimal compared to the long-term benefits of securing Permanent Residency in one of the world’s most competitive and rewarding destinations.

Eligibility & Requirements.

  • Applicants are assessed based on employment type, duration of stay, family ties, contributions to Singapore, and more. Each case is unique, and we help you understand how to present your profile effectively

  • Yes, there is no limit to how many times you can apply. However, we recommend strengthening your profile and approach before reapplying.

  • You’ll need your passport, current pass (e.g., EP, S Pass), educational certificates, proof of income, family documents (if applicable), and other supporting materials. We guide you through every requirement.

  • To improve your chances, we strongly recommend submitting additional documents such as a cover letter, character references, or evidence of community involvement. These extras can help differentiate your application.

Application Process & Timelines.

  • The standard processing time is about six months, though it may be shorter or longer depending on your case.

  • Yes, you can track your application via the ICA e-Service using your reference number. If no update is received after six months, you may contact ICA directly.

  • Yes, but try to maintain stability. Promotions or salary increases are viewed positively by ICA. Frequent job-hopping may raise red flags.

PR Life & Responsibilities.

  • You’ll receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter outlining the next steps. You must return to Singapore to complete the formalities in person. [Check out our guide on what to do after PR approval – CLICK HERE]

  • Yes, PRs can remain in Singapore even without employment. However, for REP (Re-Entry Permit) renewal, demonstrating economic contribution and local presence is important, especially under the PTS scheme.

  • Yes, but you’ll need a valid Re-Entry Permit (REP). ICA may assess your contributions and reasons for being abroad, especially during the last few years of your REP term. Singpass login and an in-person return to complete formalities are required.

PR for Families.

  • We recommend applying together if both of you intend to reside in Singapore. A joint application demonstrates stronger commitment to ICA.

  • Principal applicants under the Professionals/Technical Personnel & Skilled Workers (PTS) or Global Investor Program (GIP) are exempt from NS. Only male children under their sponsorship are liable.

  • Male children who obtain PR under their parents’ sponsorship or as foreign students are subject to NS under the Enlistment Act. They must register at 16.5 years and may be enlisted after 18. Deferment may be granted for full-time studies, if eligible.

  • Family members can retain their PR as long as their REP is valid. For renewals in complex circumstances, please contact us to review your options.

Rejection & Risks.

  • If rejected, we’ll work with you to understand the possible reasons, review your case, and help you prepare for a stronger reapplication.

  • Success guarantees are misleading. Each application is reviewed against evolving ICA policies and national quotas. We provide the strongest possible submission based on your real profile—no gimmicks, just honest expertise.

PR Benefits.

  • Pros:

            •        Lower stamp duty when buying property

            •        Eligibility to purchase HDB flats (after 3 years)

            •        Greater job security and local hiring preference

            •        Access to public healthcare and education

            •        CPF contributions (usable for retirement, housing, and medical needs)

    Cons:

            •        CPF contributions reduce take-home salary

            •        Expat packages may be adjusted to local terms

            •        Male children may be required to serve NS

The long-term benefits of PR—including stability, security, and integration—typically outweigh the downsides.
